Still today, on the stone north facing wall, in fact, you can still see the grooves where the wood- en structure of the con- servatory were anchored and, as testimony to the past, even today there are thriving orange and lemontrees present. Here, you can also nd a decorative pomegranate tree which in October offers suc- culent fruit, precious for their bene cial antioxidant qualities and which enrich our autumnal menu. Fur- thermore, in this segment of green, just a few paces from the banks of the lake,you will also nd a won- derful whirlpool. An idyllic setting therefore, where themed evening meals are organised as well as other special events. Here, you can bask in authentic re- laxation, whose theme is punctuated by the gentle lapping of the waves which caress banks of Garda.–4–THE LEmON ORcHARD OF TORRI DEL BENAcOA location both charming and full of romanticism: not by chance, in fact, is it cho- sen by couples worldwide as the location to celebrate their marriage.The Scala castle with hosts the lemon orchard, today an ethnographic museum, was built in 1383 on a preexisting manor, as desired by Antonio Della Scala. The conservatory was made in 1760, following the land ll of the moat and the demoli- tion of the second ramparts. Today, it contains lemon, or- ange, mandarin and citron trees, some of which are hundreds of years old.
